5 Stars Love It.
Great quality, and works like a charm. This was not reviewed when I bought it, but I was most pleased with the product, and it works exactly as stated to read from upright on a table. Just open it to a stable position that gives me appropriate angle. Needless to say that is for table-top use, not the lap.

I do not use the pockets for papers – HELLO I got a Kindle so I wouldn’t have bits of paper! The fabric the inside pockets are made of is nice, however, as it is non-skid on the table top and my case doesn’t slide open and fall over, but grips and stays where I put it. That alone is reason enough for the pocket fabric.

One concern is that over time the flipping back of the cover will wear cracks, and the stitching will eventually wear out on the tuck-in flap for the closure, but that was a design risk that I knew when buying it. I think it’s great – love it.

1 Star Terrible Usability Design
I was very disappointed when I received this DX cover. It has poor usability design in every way.

First, the interior pockets are positions so if you use them your stuff will fall out. In landscape view, anything you’ve placed in the large pocket (unless you’re left handed and open the kindle from the left) will fall out. There are two additional portrait orientated pockets; these will dump your stuff out when you turn the flap over to read.

Second, the “bookstand for upright, hands-free reading” just didn’t work. It took me several attempts at repositioning to get it to stand upright and level so the Kindle wasn’t tilted toward the right (not great for reading). Once it got this figured out, I noticed that it didn’t stay put very well and paginating was enough to cause the back flap to slide out.

The closure tab that would have held it upright is another issue. One, it’s difficult to slide into place in any position, and was particularly so when trying to position the cover upright. When I was reading with the flap closed, I had no idea what to do with the flap. It got in the way of reading and extends so far that it not only covers the keys for typing but is in the reading area. I tried tucking it behind my DX to read but the whole thing was simply too difficult.

I cannot recommend buying this cover. Unfortunately, the design was so bad I also don’t want to buy another m-edge covers and there are so few other DX cover options.

Amazon, get some more DX cover options – some with good design, please.

I love this jacket for my K2. It looks great and it holds my Kindle really snuggly. I bought my mother a Kindle for Christmas and I got her the same jacket but in a different color – it’s a really great accessory.

5 Stars A great Kindle 2 case!
Just received this cover today (in purple, but same model), about 3 weeks after ordering from Amazon. Granted, it was ordered before the product was even complete so I was ok with the wait. It is very similar in look and feel to a Dooney and Bourke pocketbook if you are familiar with them. It has a great leather smell, just like a new purse. And the additional room on the binder side (meant for the e-Luminator light – sold separately) gives you a nice place to hold the cover with the Kindle attached.

I love the hinge system, one of the main reasons I bought it. Coming from the K1, the original case Amazon provided was functional but the Kindle always fell out. So when Amazon improved the hinge for the K2, I knew I would only buy a case that had that feature. One word of note, I initially did not “lock” the K2 in the new m-edge case correctly and it almost fell out when I shook it (over a sofa) to test the support. Luckily the two straps on the top right and bottom right held it from falling. Then I discovered I had not closed the hinge enough and made sure the top hinge was securely pushed upwards to “lock it”. Installation instructions are not included with the case (weird) but are available from m-edge online. Amazon won’t let me post the url, but if you go to the buymedge website you can view the installation intructions.

The look and feel of the case is very professional. I am very happy with this purchase and do not expect to be taking the Kindle out of it very often. The only little issue I have is that the tab is a bit too snug when it needs to be slid into the cover to close. A snap might have been a bit easier. Still not enough of a con to drop the rating. But the tab does tuck away easily so as not to interfere while reading, which is nice.

5 Stars best kindle case ever!
The best kindle case I’ve ever purchase. The leather is soft and looks really snazzy. The inner pockets on the left size are perfect for holding plane tickets. I like how it has the hinges to afix the kindle to it. It stays very secure. I purchased the booklight from the same company that fits this case, and its been a great package. I’ve taken it on a few flights and several people have commented on it, wanting to know where i got it. It kept my Kindle safe in my bag, and keeps it dust free and clean. I love everything about it! It does make it a tiny bit heavier but that’s not a problem when I’m traveling.

My only complaint with the listing is that the color in the picture is not correct. The leather is a creme color, and the center piece is actually more of a mocha/brown color. The inside is a light grey. It really looks nice in person. Very luxurious, even for a kindle!

3 Stars somewhat disappointed
I was delighted to have received my order much sooner than expected (ordered March 3rd, expected delivery March 30-April 7, received March 20). However, I was very disappointed with the color and quality of the leather. The color is much darker than it appeared on my computer. I was expecting a light, off white color with either a light tan/orange color straps (like it appears on the M-edge website) or off white with darker tan straps (like it appears on Amazon’s website). Instead, the actual colors were just plain dull – almost grayish in color with an ugly shade of dark brown straps. The pebbled leather also looks and feels cheap to me. It’s not at all soft, and doesn’t feel like real leather. On the plus side, the hinges hold the K2 securely in place, and I think my K2 will be well protected with this cover. Despite the fact I abhor the color, I’m going to keep this cover because I don’t want to go through the hassle of returning it, and ordering & waiting for another cover to arrive.
