Kindle Wireless Reading Device 6 Display U S Wireless Latest Generation

At 10.2 ounces, Kindle is lighter than a typical paperback and as thin as most magazines. Barely a third of an inch in profile, you’ll find Kindle fits perfectly in your hands. Kindle is as easy to hold and use as a book. We designed it with long-form reading in mind. When reading for long periods of time, people naturally shift positions and often like to read with one hand. Kindle’s page-turning buttons are located on both sides, allowing you to read and turn pages comfortably with one hand from any position. The page-turn buttons now flex inward to prevent any accidental page turns when picking up or handling Kindle. Kindle has a new easy-to-use 5-way controller, enabling precise on-screen navigation for selecting text to highlight or looking up words. Kindle is completely wireless and ready to use right out of the box–no setup, no cables, no computer required. With Kindle’s 25% longer battery life, you can read on a single charge for up to 4 days with wireless on. Turn wireless off and read for up to 2 weeks. Battery life will vary based on wireless usage, such as shopping the Kindle Store and downloading content. In low coverage areas or in 1xRTT only coverage, wireless usage will consume battery power more quickly. Whispernet utilizes Amazon’s optimized technology plus Sprint’s national high-speed (3G) data network to enable you to wirelessly search, discover, and download content on the go. Your books and periodicals are delivered via Whispernet in less than 60 seconds. And unlike WiFi, you never have to hunt for a hotspot.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars I’m reading more
I just received my Kindle last week and I can’t be without it. I find that I am reading much more because the Kindle is so handy. I can carry it in my purse and anytime I find myself with time to kill I just pull it out. I don’t have to remember to carry a book around with me. And when I think about how many books I can actually carry around with me now, all on my Kindle, I am amazed. I am also amazed at how many free books you can download. I am a big Stephen King fan so I really enjoyed his free story; UR. This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Thank you Amazon.

5 Stars Kindle
i’m delighted with my kindle. It’s everything I hoped it would be. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend kindle to even a casual reader. Top quality in all aspects.

5 Stars WOW on the Kindle!
I love my Kindle, and I never thought I’d deviate from the tactile sense of a physical book but the Kindle is fantastic – it’s lightweight, easy to use, I really didn’t have to go through the entire tutorial to figure it out. I’m downloading books left and right! The only downside is when I get on the airplane, at some point I do have to turn it off and wait until we’re airborne to turn it back on while others are still reading their paper books. But that’s a small issue I’m willing to live with.

5 Stars Awesome
I love my Kindle. I have vision problems and haven’t been able to read comfortably for many years. Plus I don’t have to carry heavy books around or find a place to store them and I can have my new reading material instantly. What’s not to like?

5 Stars Kindle Wireless Reading Device
I love my Kindle – except for the fact that I bought it just 3 weeks before the price reduction. I still have a large library of paper books, but fear I will end up just replacing them with Kindle versions. I just returned from a trip that would have required my packing of 2 or 3 books in the past. Instead, I had my Kindle, which fit easily in my purse. I finished one book and began another in-flight. SO much easier than trying to load two volumes into my carry-on bag. I’m probably going to buy another Kindle – for my husband – for Christmas. He is SO envious now that I have one.
