User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Works great on Late ‘08 MBP
I’m using this on the first unibody aluminum macbook pro. It works great in both Leopard and Snow Leopard, and sits flush in the laptop chassis. The 1 star loss, while not a big deal, is due to the fact that the SD card itself does not rest flush in the laptop. I never found an option that didnt stick out a little, but that would be my 5 star rating.

4 Stars Almost perfect
I would have given this item 4 stars, other than it is hard to install in my HP laptop. If you try to push it into the slot with your finger, it will not go in far enough to latch, and simply pops back out. You need to take just your fingernail and push the card in until it clicks. It probably needs to go an eighth of and inch past the edge of the laptop to get it to latch. Getting it out is difficult as well, since again you need to use your fingernail to push the card in until it clicks and pops out. I don’t know if this is something peculiar to my HP laptop, or if all HP’s are like this.

On the plus side, once installed you can just leave it installed, since it doesn’t project beyond the edge of the laptop at all!

5 Stars This is what you NEED if you have an Expresscard slot!!
This is a great little unit! I had an unused expresscard slot just taking up space. Now it is usable for all my memory cards.

4 Stars Great Product
This really works great, it is very simple and easy to insert. It sits completely flush in my MacBook Pro (aluminium uni-body) and makes it so much more convenient than using cables to plug in devices that use memory cards.

5 Stars Nice card reader
This product is an excellent fit in my last generation Macbook Pro. No much to say other than it fits flush in the slot, built well, works as advertised in new Snow Leopard. I also tried it out in my Dell XPS 13 even though the DEell has a built in card reader. It worked there as well. The fit into the slot on the Dell was a little tricky due to the slot being a double slot/two height (PCMCIA type II) type slight. Something the MBP does not offer. Which is fine. The card fits as snug as a bug in a rug on the MBP and performs as advertised.

This manufacture in my experience has done a good job on the Apple platform for years. My experience with the manufacture has been positive from a hardware view. I have not had recent experience with any support or warranty situations to comment.

If you have an express card slot, need a card reader to save you batteries on your digital cameras, then this is a good choice. With the backing of Amazon, this is a confident purchase.
