User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars The cover is great, but the LCD screen protector is not
I love the cover, it protects my kindle just fine and it’s still very light and not obtrusive, however the LDC screen protector reflects the light making it difficult to read (you can still read it but it is tired for the eyes). I gave it four stars because even if you don’t use the LDC it is still a good value for the money.

3 Stars Good Case Though There Could Be Improvement
I’m happy with my Kindle 2 Silicone case. It fits my Kindle well, is lightweight and translucent so that I can see the side buttons. Like one of the other reviewers noted, the case works well for at home reading. It is comfortable for me to hold my Kindle and read at my leisure. However, on my day-to-day commute to and from work or elsewhere, I use my Cole Haan leather cover (which I give 5 stars as I love it!). There are a couple of things that prevent me from giving this case 5 stars:

1. It doesn’t provide any protection for the keyboard. I’m not sure why the makers of this case wouldn’t provide any covering for the keyboard, but they don’t. I almost regret throwing away the plastic protective sheet that came with the Kindle’s packing.

2. As other reviewers mentioned, the screen protector is worthless. It is a dust and lint magnet. I use my case without the screen protector. Since I only use the case when I’m reading at home vs. when I’m carrying it in my purse or backpack, this point isn’t too big of a deal for me.

Overall, the case is worth the purchase if the two issues mentioned above don’t conflict with your needs. Otherwise, I’m sure there are other cases out there that provide good protection for the whole Kindle, body, keyboard and the screen.

3 Stars Really a 2.5
This cover is okay, but not what I was hoping for. If the fit was a little better it would be a 4-star product easily, but it just doesn’t fit tight enough to be more than about a 2.5. The edges aren’t cut cleanly in some places, but otherwise the overall quality is okay. I used a little double sided scotch tape to hold the edges down around the screen and keyboard. With the tape in place it’s good enough that I’ll continue using it until a better option comes along.

This was so close to being perfect. :(

3 Stars Doesn’t fit particularly well
The case is a bit loose on the Kindle, and there really is no reason for it. It is made fairly well though, and would get 5 stars if it fit better. The screen protector is OK, but i took it off to get a piece of dirt off and now it is useless. The screen protector is washable but you cannot dry it or it picks up every tiny piece of lint, and air drying leaves water spots all over it.

1 Star Awful.
The screen protector won’t apply very well. Good luck getting it on without any bubbles.

The skin barely fits on there. It’s loose and tacky.

I’m SO GLAD I spent money on this junk. Why doesn’t a respected, well-established company make screen protectors and skins for the Kindle? THAT’s what I want to know.
