5 Stars Perfect!
When the Belkin neoprene case was backordered, I bought the $25 version of the Octo sleeve, instead. I’m glad I did. I’ve had it a week, now, and believe it to be better than the Belkin: no zippers to fool with; more protection from the rigid sleeve; a nice, firm grip; and it’s *very* nice looking. The $89 version must be elegant, indeed!

Unlike the previous reviewer, I’ve had no difficulties sticking my kindle into the sleeve any old way and then easily getting it back out again. I have found it a bit easier to pull back out, though, if I stick it in head first. That also leaves the USB port exposed for recharging.

5 Stars Great Product…slow delivery
The OCTO Kindle 2 Sleeve is wonderful. Lovely black leather. Kindle fits very nicely. Slides in and out easily (when it’s in the right direction). I wasn’t happy that it took 10 days to be delivered, but I was glad that it arrived 5 days earlier than the estimated delivery date. It arrived before Memorial Day Weekend travel which suited me just fine. A beautiful product.

5 Stars Simple, yet elegant protection
I have had the Octo cover since April. It is a lovely, well made accessory, which provides superb protection for the Kindle. I wanted a hard sided case, which would provide protection for the screen, in tightly packed luggage. It does that. I wanted a great looking cover to compliment the Kindle, which was a birthday gift, from my wife and children. It surely does that!

I rate this product outstanding. Simple! Elegant! Functional! 5 stars!

5 Stars Like to read your Kindle 2 naked? Get this sleeve.
I prefer to read my Kindle 2 naked (Kindle 2 with no cover, me with clothes on). The Kindle 2 is really nice and slim and I do not like the extra bulk and weight of a cover while I am reading nor when carrying the K2 in my purse. This sleeve is exactly what I wanted. It looks really nice and protects the K2.

You do need to realize that the sleeve does have a front and a back. Notice this sentence in the description: “It is important to note that the seamless sleeve is custom designed to snugly fit the Kindle 2 and therefore the Kindle will only slide into the sleeve in one direction”. The front of the K2 is slightly wider than the back of the K2. If you force the K2 into the sleeve incorrectly, it is extremely hard to get it out. I did it once and had to have my husband remove the K2 from the sleeve because I could not get it out. The difference in the shape (front to back) of the sleeve is so small that it is hard to know the difference just by looking at the end of the sleeve. I now know what the front texture/pattern looks like on mine compared to the pattern on the back and that is how I know I am putting my K2 into the sleeve correctly. Also, it does take a little more force when putting it in the sleeve incorrectly. If the K2 does not seem to be going in easily, flip it over because you are probably put it in the sleeve incorrectly.

I love mine and will probably also buy the Navy one soon. I would love one in a true red color instead of the wine.

5 Stars slip sliding away
The octo leather slip cover is truly beautiful as well as practical.

I did have some trouble getting used to the fit. Now that I have read the instructions and had customer service from Octo email me, I now insert it in the slip cover correctly. (the back of the K2 slids in against the Octo logo)

Now that I know the fit when done incorrectly is tight, I insert my K2 (in the wrong way) and use the case as a holder when reading.

The K2 in that position is very user friendly. When you have lemons … make leomon aid.

My plan was to order my Kindle2 and a jacket simultaneously, but I didn’t want the black one that Amazon offered because it was too masculine looking. Then I saw the M-Edge ads in a NYC subway and was thrilled to find it offered in Amazon with a $10 discount! I wasn’t sure about the fuchsia color, but when it arrived it was absolutely beautiful. It’s great to the touch, the clips keep my Kindle secure, it’s sturdy, elegant, and it’s really easy to carry in my bag. I get a lot of compliments, it’s really very chic. The color is so pretty, and it holds your kindle REALLY secure. You can shake it as hard as you can, and the kindle won’t budge. It’s not bulky either, which was what I was trying to aviod. It’s very slim and smooth; stylish to carry around. Another thing I love about it is that you can fold the front cover all the way back around easily. It’s really conveinient when you’re in a small space (like an airplane, or train) and you don’t have a lot of extra elbow room. I love mine, and I call tell it’s going to last me a long time!

I love my Kindle, but without this jacket it feels a little like reading a giant iPod. The jacket holds my Kindle securely, and I don’t have to worry about scratching the screen. Money well spent.

4 Stars Very stylish
This is a very stylish and functional product–fits the DX perfectly, is easy to open and close, offers protection for your Kindle, & feels good in the hands (kind of mat, rubbery feeling of the neoprene). I love the look of it but my only reservation so far is that the surface of neoprene tends to show fingerprints after just a little handling. Maybe that depends on the color you choose–I got it in red. Otherwise, very happy with it.

While i use my waterproof case ALL the time, even at home, I do use this case when taking my kindle out of the house. I NEVER leave my kindle unprotected as i have many grandchildren that are usually up and about my home. Also, I believe the screen is very delicate. The case also houses the charger and that is a plus for me when storing everything I need together.

4 Stars Great for the traveler
I travel weekly and this makes a perfect cover for my DX. I carry it in my backpack everywhere. It fits the Kindle superbly and is small enough not to take up too much room in my crowded bag. I would recommend it to anyone who have to do a lot of moving around. The only drawback I have is it would be nice to have a place to put an address tag or business card on the cover in case you get separated from it.
